Boo Seeka’s Does This Last is the first song on the album Never Too Soon. It is an alternative, soft and contemplative song which explores the fleeting nature of the time and the idea that all good things must come to an end. This is reflected in the music video which focuses on the mundane moments of an adventure such as driving, playing foosball and eating Vegemite. This song was significant to the band as they were struggling creatively when the song was being written as they stated in an interview with Life Without Andy: We were struggling creatively, emotionally and personally leading to the most tense moment in our history. Over the period of a few days we broke down in the studio, tempers flared, tears were shed and Boo and I decided we’d had enough. He came around to my place that night, we cracked 4 bottles of red and he sang this line; Why does this only last for so long? Could I be wrong?

This album best reflects our recent life experiences, encapsulating all we’ve encountered over the past two and a half years, says band member Sammy Seeka. Our recording process for the album followed no structure; we recorded vocals in carparks, tour buses and our studios in Sydney. One vocal loop was recorded into an iPhone on stage in a theatre in America. Ultimately every idea and piece of music we had come together in my bedroom.
