로필: Louse Detection was a project led by New York-based singer-songwriter and t John McDonnell, primarily active in 2011. Originally meant to be a plunderphonics project (which would later be realized in future project Dawktah), Louse Detection combined elements of experimental, electronic, and indie rock, all drenched in lo-fi. From May to July 2011, he recorded his self-titled debut full-length album, which was released on August 2nd, 2011, on the former MrHappyFace Records label. Between this, he contributed a few remixes of songs by Bye-Product, laid down guest vocals for a collaborative track with NintyScreen, and recorded some tracks for two MrHappyFace Records compilations.

Louse Detection was the moniker of American oducer John McDonnell, based in Lindenhurst. Though he started writing music much longer ago, he has been musically active since 2009. Prior to recording music as Louse Detection, he performed under the name Mauvaisemusique until after playing his last show in 2010. The following year, in May, he began recording his eponymous debut album, using instruments such as the Korg DS-10.
