After starting in 2005 Nehemiah St-Danger finally release their album. Started in 2005 this album has had a bumpy ride on its journey to release this year. Adrian Bloxham takes a listen. This album sounds about half awake. About half of it is coherent and makes some sense. The rest is discordant, challenging and a galaxy away from the mainstream. It was first recorded in 2005, on 4-track tape and helped along with open source software. It was added to in 2008 and then subjected to hard drive failures and digital reconstruction. They were then left on a shelf until this release. The music is recorded loudly, mostly to the point of distortion

Nehemiah St-Danger is well-equipped to work with others. Not only has he played music with members of Pocahaunted, Silver Jews, Psychic Reality, The Gris Gris, and more, but he’s also a member of Arrington De Dionyso’s amazing Malaikat Dan Singa, which in my book automatically puts him into the TMT Hall of Fame. Hell, he even had a (very) brief stint at this here rag! But Nehemiah can do it solo too. His debut release, The Slow and Painful Birth of Nehemiah St-Danger, almost didn’t see the light of day (short story: poverty, three hard drive failures, turing sessions), but.
