Imagination was formed by Leee John (born John Lesley McGregor), who was educated in New York, where he also became a backing vocalist for The Delfonics and Chairmen Of The Board. He found himself working together with Ashley Ingram on tours and they decided to form their own group. At an audition they attended for a short-lived band called Midnight Express they met drummer Errol Kennedy. The 3 teamed up, choosing the name Imagination as a tribute to John Lennon and his classic song Imagine

Imagination were a three piece soul music band from the United Kingdom in the early 1980s, sometimes described as Britain's first black supergroup. They had chart hits in 28 countries, earning four platinum discs, nine gold discs and over a dozen silver discs between 1981 and 1983. The band consisted of: Leee John was born John Lesley McGregor in Hackney, London, on 23 June 1957, of St Lucian descent. He was educated in New York, later studying drama at the Anna Scher Theatre School.
This album contains Imagination's anthem "Body Talk". Also very good is "So Good, So Right" and "Flashback". Outstanding and very emotional is the ballad "I'll Always Love You (But Don't Look Back)". It's nice music to dance to, but also good to lay back and enjoy. I have been a fan of this group since their debut Body Talk in 1981 followed by In the Heat of the Night. I was so very sad and dissappointed to learn they had disbanded in 1998. 2 people found this helpful.
