Some People is the debut studio album from British musician Belouis Some, released in 1985. Neville Keighley began performing as Belouis Some in 1983. He would sign with Parlophone Records that year and began recording his studio album soon after. Recording of Some People began at Good Earth, Maison Rouge and Air Studios in London, with Ian Little and Pete Schwier at the producers' helm. In late 1984, recording continued at New York with producers Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero

The release of Some's debut solo album Some People in 1985 spawned two hits the following year; "Imagination" and "Some People", both of which were Top 40 UK hits and Top 10 American Hot Dance Club Play hits. After his initial chart success and extensive touring, he appeared at Knebworth on a bill supporting Queen, with Big Country and Status. The late 1986 single "Jerusalem" had also peaked at in the UK. Soon after, Some recorded his second album, Belouis Some in New York, which was produced by Gary Langan and Guy Fletcher.

He had a few minor hits in the 1980s with "Some People", "Round and Round", (which appeared on the soundtrack album to the film Pretty in Pink), plus "Imagination", which reached on the UK Singles Chart.
