Foo Fighters have something of a hero myth going on too, but it's a lot less dramatic: Following the death of his comrade, Dave Grohl rocked on as the leader of his own band, and spent the next 15 years making mainstream rock radio, uh, slightly more listenable. Grohl's task may not be anywhere near as glamorous or as era-defining as that of his former band, but in a way, it's much more difficult and thankless. The playlists got tighter, and if you're reading this site, we probably don't need to tell you just how bad the music on these stations got, and how to this day it only seems to get worse. Grohl and his band may have been grandfathered into the radio format mainly for his connection to Nirvana, but he earned his keep and turned out a reliable string of enjoyable hits. This probably sounds like faint praise.

It's Foo Fighters so there's no question that it's great! Heavy weight vinyl. All the hit songs plus a couple that were (at the time) unreleased. If you want just one Foo album for your vinyl collection, you can't go wrong with this. 3 people found this helpful.
Greatest Hits is a compilation album released by American rock band the Foo Fighters on November 3, 2009. Lead singer Dave Grohl has stated his displeasure with the release of a greatest hits, stating he would have preferred to wait until after the band had retired. The band’s label had been wanting to release a compilation album for four years, and exercised a clause in the band’s contract that allowed them to do so. Grohl wrote: These 16 songs are what we’re calling our Greatest Hits

Almost 15 years on from their debut, Foo Fighters deliver their first Greatest Hits, a 15-track (16 if the double dip on "Everlong" counts) retrospective covering their six albums from 1995 to 2007.
Greatest hits album shouldn't count. But this album is legendary. Generator, learn to fly, breakout, next year, sracked actors, aurora, . and that's just the equal best songs on the album. This is the Foo Fighters greatest album with all of their greatest song including The Pretender and Long Road To Ruin. This is the most solid and fulfilling foo album. Its In Your Honor condensed down into perfect quantity of bliss and balance. Maybe not the best lyrics, but if u mix this and waisting light, you will get a masterpiece. It's the debut album.
