Judas Priest are known as the Metal Gods for good reason. Black Sabbath might have invented it with a single Devil’s tritone but Judas Priest went on to define pure, rampant, all-guitars-blazing heavy metal for more than four decades. They released their debut studio full-length Rocka Rolla way back in 1974. In truth it wasn’t that great, with more of a hippified psychedelic-rock vibe, but ever since then they’ve released classic metal album after classic metal album. So which are their best? Read on to find ou. hen feel free to give us your opinion.

Turbo is the tenth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest, released by Columbia on 14 April 1986. A remastered CD was released in 2001, including two bonus tracks.

Greatest Judas Priest song ever! - CaptDeadeye. This dying to meet you and ram it down are my top three priest songs. This songs is absolutely mad, fast and crazy. Should definitely be at least top 20 - BeeBlue. Wicked song, no doubt the heaviest song JP has, this epitomizes thrash, just a beat you down wicked beat that makes you want to break your own neck headbanging. The new album kicks ass, best Priest album of the century! A kickass opener to one of the greatest albums of the 10s. A new lease of life for Priest.

Judas Priest Earns Highest Charting Album Ever on Billboard 200 With 'Firepower'. 3/18/2018 by Keith Caulfield. Rock band Judas Priest debuts at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with Firepower - marking the group’s highest charting album ever. The album surpasses the group’s previous chart high, logged when 2014’s Redeemer of Souls debuted and peaked at No. 6. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the . based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA)

Rocka Rolla is enjoyable enough, with its faint whiff of progressive hard rock and its warm, analogue tones, but it’s a patchy affair and never comes close to the grandeur and grit of the classics. 15. Ram It Down (1988). Returning to their traditional sound after the electronic detours of Turbo, Priest stuck to the basics on their 11th studio album. Not quite the sizzling return to form that many proclaimed it to be, Redeemer Of Souls is simply a really good Judas Priest album. New guitarist Richie Faulkner acquits himself brilliantly throughout, the sound falls neatly between Painkiller and Angel Of Retribution and, on the stunning Crossfire, Priest prove that they are masters of metal and the blues.

Well folks, JUDAS PRIEST ’s Firepower did not fit in any of those categories. Not that lyrics don’t matter here, but from the onset this seemed like an album worth experiencing with loud speakers. Unfortunately for me this wasn’t possible, because my three-year-old daughter started to complain that due to the noise she couldn’t watch Peppa Pig for the millionth time. I think it’s fair to say that Judas Priest simply doesn’t owe us anything anymore. For over 40 years these daring guys have delivered heavy metal in untainted form, and still they’ve never been afraid to experiment and modify their proposal a bit from time to time. While for many Firepower would sound like a logical sequel to Redeemer of Souls , the album further succeeds in recreating that Priest unique musical character that got lost with the the ill-fated Nostradamus.

Judas Priest Discography. OFFICIAL STORE OTHER RETAILERS (Remastered) OTHER RETAILERS. If for instance anyone out there has bought their "JUDAS PRIEST - THE BEST OF" - Insight Series, then they would find that 50% of the album consists of a mindless interview with John Hinch an ex-drummer with Priest who we had to let go because he was musically inadequate. The interview is not only misleading but full of rubbish and false information. They, however have cleverly track listed the back cover so it appears that other band members are involved and as though it contains new material
