Cause every time you hurt me, the less that I cry And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry And every time you walk out, the less I love you Baby we don’t stand a chance, it’s sad but it’s true I’m way too good at goodbyes.
Don’t Know Why was written by Jesse Harris which originally appeared on his 1999 album, Jesse Harris & the Ferdinandos. Jones then covered it for her debut 2002 album Come Away with Me, where it was released as the first single and hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song charted at 459 in Blender magazine’s 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born. In New York City, you might have caught her (as I did) gigging with the JC Hopkins Biggish Band or playing solo for tiny audiences at The Living Room, a shy, beautiful nobody whose sudden and stupendous rise couldn’t have been predicted. Jones recorded her debut, Come Away With Me, with an acoustic trio on Blue Note Records. Among the album’s originals was a track written by her friend Jesse Harris: ‘Don’t Know Why,’ a quietly dazzling tribute to romantic indecision.
It Comes Back to You. It's Time. I don't know why but I guess it's got something to do with you (I don't know). Я не знаю, почему, но мне кажется, что это как-то связано с тобой, (я не знаю). To do with you (I don't know why). I don't know why but I guess it's got something to do with you. Я не знаю, почему, но мне кажется, что это как-то связано с тобой, To do with you.
I don't wanna see you cry You don't have to feel this emptiness She said I love you till the day that I die Well maybe she's right 'Cause I don't wanna feel like I'm not me And to be honest I don't even know why I let myself get down in the first place. Tryna keep my mind at bay Sunflower still grows at night Waiting for a minute till the sun's seen through my eyes Make it down down, do-down-down Diggy dig down, du du du du Waiting for a minute till the sun's seen through my eyes
I don’t even know, Why the fuck I am alive, I am piece of shit, & I can tell, So I don’t try, I don’t care about praying, Cause I won’t live in the sky, Staring at the ceiling, Hearing voices calling me, I Stare inside the mirror, See the devil haunting me, It’s nothing new, This is m. You never wanna respond back, - & You ain’t never gave a fuck no way, Stop tryna shake my hand, Pussy boi you a fake, (You a fake) All you do is clout chase all day, Hoping on everybody dick, Tryna get paid, (Or get laid) I don’t know what it is, Slowly losing myself, Bout to fall into pit, Or a ditch
look don’t touch I never know what I’ll get when we get together When you’re good, you’re good But when you’re bad, you’re better. They call us a two lane just passing by slow down town Yeah they say what’s there to do when you ain’t got nothin’ around Just a few street lights, speed limit signs that all say 25 But those folks ain’t lived in our lives. CHORUS They ain’t seen the blood sweat and tears it took to live their dream When everything’s on the line Ain’t just another field just another farm No it’s the ground we grew up on They think it’s a middle of nowhere place where we take it slow Aw but they don’t know.
Lyrics to "Don't Know Why" song by Norah Jones: I waited 'til I saw the sun I don't know why I didn't come I left you by the house of fun I don't k. .My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever. Out across the endless sea I would die in ecstasy But I'll be a bag of bones Driving down the road alone. Something has to make you run I don't know why I didn't come I feel as empty as a drum I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come. Thanks to Doc for correcting these lyrics. Writer(s): HARRIS JESSE.
