Dream Theater is the twelfth studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released through Roadrunner Records on September 23, 2013 in Europe and a day later in North America. The album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered between January and May 2013 at Cove City Sound Studios in Long Island, New York, the same studio as the band's previous album, A Dramatic Turn of Events (2011). It is the first Dream Theater album to include drummer Mike Mangini in the songwriting process.

Until now Dream Theater album Images and Words was taking victories and it was recorded in 1992. Images and Words is the second studio album for the band. It is known as the most successful band album commercially. The album got the gold record certificate in USA and became platinum in Japan. In Bilboard top 200 chart album Images and Words has raised to 61 place and the single Pull Me Under has reached 10 place. Moreover, it is the first album in which the voice of the new band vocalist James LaBrie can be heard.
