Aerosmith is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, released on January 5, 1973 by Columbia Records. The song "Walkin' the Dog" is a cover of a song originally performed by Rufus Thomas. The single "Dream On" became an American top ten hit when re-released in December 1975 ; it had first been released as a single in June 1973. The album peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard 200 Chart in 1976.

Another good collection of aerosmith. 14 Rock in a Hard Place. It was my first Aerosmith album and I love it! Just because they don't sound the same as they did in the 70's is alright there great no matter what. Oh, Carrie Underwood with Aerosmith?

The European collection Classic Aerosmith: The Universal Masters Collection shouldn't be taken as a collection of Aerosmith's biggest hits, even if it's seen as a collection that focuses only on their Geffen material.

Any worst-to-best ranking of Aerosmith must deal with two distinct eras, both their sleazy '70s work and the slicker, more successful '80s comeback. But which one was better? And what about that period between 1979-84 when Aerosmith's classic lineup temporarily shifted? Their bluesy covers album? Their more recent work?
