The Seven Deadly Sins (album). The Seven Deadly Sins is a studio recording of the Kurt Weill Opera of the same name by Marianne Faithfull, released in 1998

Seven Deadly Sins is a progressive metal music album recording by SEVEN released in 2009 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette. Gisela May/Kegel BRECHT/WEILL The Seven Deadly Sins - DGG 139 308 SEALED. 1 day. ASD 4402 Weill The Seven Deadly Sins, Rattle.

These are the songs of Kurt Weill, composer, and Bertolt Brecht, lyricist. This work, it would seem, is a perfect match of voice timbre and sound wished for by the composer. The husky and weary voiced Faithfull does these songs as they were intended to be done, her voice a beautiful match in tone and color. Die sieben Todsünden (The Seven Deadly Sins), ballet~Prologue. 2. Die sieben Todsünden (The Seven Deadly Sins), ballet~Sloth. 3. Die sieben Todsünden (The Seven Deadly Sins), ballet~Pride. 4. Die sieben Todsünden (The Seven Deadly Sins), ballet~Anger.

From Gisela May to Ute Lemper, from Julia Migenes to Teresa Stratas, they keep on coming. Now we've another claimant, perhaps the best one yet, in Marianne Faithfull. Ms. Faithfull has had quite a history, from angelic teen-age rock star in the mid-60's to consort of Mick Jagger to actress to drug addict and alcoholic, all punctuated by occasional critically acclaimed comebacks. Reportedly free from her addictive demons, she is now in the midst of another rock comeback. That was two performances of the leading vocal role in the 35-minute Weill-Brecht ''ballet with song'' ''The Seven Deadly Sins,'' Saturday night and Sunday afternoon as part of the imaginative Arts at St. Ann's series at the Church of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights. The Weill was preceded by deft performances under Fred Sherry's direction of Bach's Cantata No. 183 and Stravinsky's ''Danses Concertantes.

Printed on the highest quality heavyweight, archival watercolor paper with deckled edges. Pencil-signed by artist. Measures 13 x 19 inches.
