Tu Veneno is the second album by Uruguayan singer and actress Natalia Oreiro. Natalia Oreiro pursued her music career with her second album, Tu Veneno, and presentations in "Gala de la Hispanidad", "Gala de Murcia" (both in Spain) and "Festival de la Calle 8" in Miami. Her most important appearance was in the prestigious Latin television show Sábado Gigante Internacional, hosted by Don Francisco.
Due to a big success of a song Que si, que si from the movie Un Argentino en New York Natalia Oreiro was offered collaboration with music company BMG Argentina to make her own CD. Pablo Durand became the producer of the CD. The CD was recorded in first half year of 1998 in studios in Buenos Aires and also at Miami in Florida

CD Natalia Oreiro was released on 14th of July 1998. Due to the big success of telenovela Muňeca Brava abroad, the CD was also released in many other countries in years of 1999 and mainly in 2000. The content is the same just the cover differs. The album that was named after its first hit song Tu Veneno was released by BMG and the main disc producer was Pablo Durand who stood behind production of Natalia’s debut disc. It was in June 2000 when first information about new CD of Natalia Oreiro was released in Argentinean media. According to the information from that time the CD was supposed to be called Tu Veneno and contain 14 songs. Already confirmed songs were: Tu Veneno, Rio De La Plata – biographic song about Natalia, cover of the Spanish song Un Ramito de Violetas and song Que Pena Me Das, which was written especially for Natalia.
