Ten Years After were relentless, proving for all time that they were perhaps the most wondrous live band walking the planet, with this being their fourth, and best, live outing in what was then a rather short career. Of course music fans wanted slick clean studio material, though those same fans quickly learned that hearing Ten Years After in a live setting was the only way one should experience this band, where they played like a rock jazz band, swapping leads, trading grooves, soloing to the sky, delivering the most electrifying sets of all time with a fine blend of boogie
Ten Years After Undead Свой второй альбом группа Ten Years After решила записать живьем, чтобы показать недюжинное мастерство не только игры, но и импровизации. Ten Years After.
He decided to record a live album with Franklin at the perfect crossover venue, San Francisco's Fillmore West, a small theater that played host to hippie or "longhair" audiences. Wexler figured this would be the prime time to present Franklin's brand of gospel-fueled soul to the Fillmore's regulars
This double disc collects the original Franklin album, presents it in gloriously remastered sound, and adds a bonus disc of alternate takes and unused songs from the four-night stand. The original LP was a double, and for good reason. Franklin used King Curtis' band, the Kingpins, for these dates - after being persuaded by producer Jerry Wexler - in lieu of her regular road band. It was a solid call on Wexler's part

Aside from his recordings with the Allman Brothers he of course worked with Eric Clapton on Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, helping to create the magic of the title song. Joni Mitchell's first live album arrived at the peak of her fame. Recorded a couple months after her breakthrough Court and Spark debuted, the Canadian singer-songwriter documented the California stops on the tour supporting the new LP. Performing an expansive collection of tracks from her 1968 debut Song to a Seagull onward, Miles of Aisles carefully avoided the hits. Aretha Franklin, ‘Live at Fillmore West’ (1971). Does anybody feel like hearing the blues?" Aretha Franklin asks, introducing "Dr. Feelgood. The concert took place six years after the rock icon's career plummeted after the public learned he had married his 13-year-old cousin, but at age 28, Lewis was at a musical peak. He blazes through "Great Balls of Fire" in less than two minutes and sounds like he's dismantling his piano in "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' O.
