Voices of Theory is an R&B group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that reunited in 2018 to work on a new release. Voices of Theory was founded in the early 1990s by five Latino youths from North Philadelphia. Their first major exposure came when they were tapped to open for Mariah Carey for 12 nights of her 1993 tour. Later that year, they contributed a cover of "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" for the soundtrack of the film Calendar Girl.

When this self-titled debut album came out in 1998, Voices of Theory was often described as a Latin Boyz II Men.
