Suddenly my world has changed And I just wonder why All it took was just one smile. Now it's you Out of the blue Love appeared Before my eyes with you Dream come true I never thought I'd realize What love was, what love was What love was Here with you. We are together now Never take my heart away All the love I found Is here to stay (out of the blue). It's like a dream come true I never thought I'd fall in love with you Out of the blue Love appeared Before my eyes with you A dream come true I never thought Here with you Out of the, out of the Out of the clear blue Oh, it's like a dream come.

I've been listening to Debbie's first 2 albums for nostalgia purposes, but somehow I always find her debut album as superior to Electric Youth, bec. I like 9 out of 10 songs. We all love the obvious Foolish Beat which is still hands down the best song on the album, and so does the other hits Only in my Dreams, Shake your Love and Out of the Blue. The single Staying Together which is probably the only track I didn't like the first time I listen to, but after repeated plays, yeah it grows on you.

While Out of the Blue does possess the slick, processed dance-pop production and squeaky-clean innocence of most '80s teen pop, it stands out from the competition due to Gibson's talent as a singer, musician, pop songwriter, arranger, and even producer. Five of this album's ten tracks hit the Top 40, with four of those going Top Five, and Gibson's youthful exuberance and energy shine through infectiously. Despite her reputation, it's some of the best teen pop you're likely to hear.
