Gods of War is the tenth album by heavy metal band Manowar, released in 2007. It is a concept album centered on Odin, King of Gods and primary god of war in the Norse Mythology. Gods of War was supposed to be the first of a series of concept albums dedicated to different war gods from various mythologies, but eventually its sequels were not released. All the text on the booklet was written in the Runic alphabet.

For the time of the concert, Manowar let the fans stop only during the speech of Joey DeMaio, who did not fail to praise the Bulgarians, the rakija, the shopska salad, the mayors Yordanka Fandakova and Tsonko Tsonev from Kavarna. DeMaio promised that this is not the end, and that MANOWAR will come back again.

Down from the sky Into the fight Hearts full of rage, full of thunder and glory Swords in the wind Crossing the sky Lords of doom bring an end to their story. Father on bended knee I ask thee, raise thy hand We, the sons of Odin await thy command Born under the sign of the hammer we stand And here we all may die! Our blood on the ground The battle horns sound! Let thy Valkyries fly!! Down from the sky into the fight Hearts full of rage, full of thunder and glory Swords in the wind Crossing the sky Lords of doom bring an end to their story

Manowar's "Gods of War" is a tough album to critique due to the uncertainty of its nature. Its equal parts metal and opera and, unfortunately, both of them put together lack the substance to say that the whole is a success. A considerable amount of the record is instrumental, with some of the tracks featuring voice over.
