Blonde on Blonde was a guitar-led psychedelic rock group from South Wales. The band was formed in Newport in 1967 by vocalist/guitarist Ralph Denyer, drummer Les Hicks, bassist/organist Richard Hopkins and guitarist/sitar player Gareth Johnson. The band was named after Bob Dylan's 1966 album of the same name.

Blonde (originally titled Boys Don’t Cry) is the second studio album by the enigmatic Frank Ocean. The album was released on August 20, 2016, following a four-year hiatus after the release of channel ORANGE. Fans have speculated that the use of blond on the album cover and blonde on the album listing is a reference to Frank’s bisexuality and the themes of duality between masculinity and femininity in his life; with blond being the masculine form, and blonde being the feminine. The word blonde itself holds two interpretations. The first is that children normally have blonde hair that darkens to brown as they get older.

Blonde on Blonde is the seventh album of Bob Dylan, a double LP (presumably the first in pop history), which was produced by Bob Johnston and recorded in. Nashville, Tennessee. The album was released in the spring of 1966

Blonde on Blonde captured Dylan at his most prodigious and inspired. The Cutting Edge release documents the amount of work put into the record and it's loaded with classics. Highway 61 and Bringing It All Back Home lack the ragged maturity that Dylan exuded on Blonde, and the album was greatly enhanced by the monster band of mostly Nashville musicians, leading to sonic tones superior to earlier recordings. Of course arguments can be made that Blood on the Tracks and Highway 61 are better

How dare you just be excellent? The Rock quote is from a 2012 profile of the reclusive D’Angelo, who felt compelled to release his first album in 14 years following the shooting of Michael Brown; the moment spurred him on. Faced with a hellish loop of police brutality, other musical leaders like Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé came forth with brilliant righteousness as well. On its surface, Blonde seems tremendously insular. Whereas Channel Orange showed off an expansive eclecticism, this album contracts at nearly every turn. But it isn’t just anyone emoting from the abyss, it’s Frank Ocean.

Blonde on Blonde completed the trilogy of rock albums that Dylan recorded in 1965 and 1966, starting with Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited. Critics often rank Blonde on Blonde as one of the greatest albums of all time. It was one of the first double albums in rock music. Al Kooper recalled that both the album title, Blonde on Blonde, and song titles arrived during the mixing sessions. When they were mixing it, we were sitting around and Bob Johnston came in and said, 'What do you want to call this?' And just like said them out one at a time.
