Cherry Pie (Warrant song). For other uses, see Cherry pie (disambiguation). Many of the band members felt that "Cherry Pie" is not one of the better songs on the album, and see the song as a double-edged sword: it brought them fame, but many of their other songs are overshadowed by the major hit. On VH1's HEAVY: The Story Of Metal episode 3: "Looks That Kill," Lane expressed his regret for writing the song, stating that "I could shoot myself in the fucking head for writing that song.
Produced by Beau Hill. Album Cherry Pie. Cherry Pie Lyrics. She's my cherry pie Cool drink of water, such a sweet surprise Tastes so good, make a grown man cry Sweet cherry pie, oh yeah She's my cherry pie Put a smile on your face, ten miles wide Looks so good, bring a tear to your eye Sweet cherry pie. Swingin' to the drums, swingin' to guitar Swingin' to the bass in the back of my car Ain't got money, ain't got no gas But we'll get where we're goin' if we swing real fast
Not too much more, though - after all this is a record that explicitly explains the euphemism of its title track through its album cover. Nevertheless, there is a concentrated effort to stretch a little bit, whether it's covering Blackfoot's bluesy "Train, Train" or the attempt at spooky storytelling on "Uncle Tom's Cabin" or even the elaborate arrangement on "I Saw Red," this album's attempt at a big power ballad hit.

Following financial success of its debut Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich and the subsequent tour Warrant began recording a new album with not much delay. Beau Hill was again brought onboard as the producer, as someone who made a considerate contribution to the band’s success. And, as a result, the second album was released in September 1990 – Cherry Pie. At first glance (and all other glances, to be honest) the new LP is practically no different from the previous one. The formula is repeated to a dot: again present more rocking cuts of various tempo and two mandatory ballads
