Live at the Fillmore East is a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix released on February 23, 1999. The album documents Hendrix's performances with the Band of Gypsys at the Fillmore East on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970. It is drawn from the same performances as, and can be seen as an extended complement to, the Band of Gypsys album, consisting mostly of songs not on the original album. All tracks written by Jimi Hendrix, except where noted. Jimi Hendrix – guitar, vocals.
Live at Woodstock is a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix released on July 6, 1999. The album documents most of Hendrix's performance with his band Gypsy Sun and Rainbows at Woodstock Festival on August 18, 1969. Many of the tracks on this album were released in 1994 on Woodstock. As with the earlier release, rhythm guitarist Larry Lee's medley of "Gypsy Woman" with "Aware of Love" (both songs originally by The Impressions) and his "Mastermind" are not included.
I have copied this one from an old LP i bought 20 yeras ag. .it is a live recording of Jimi playing with Curtis Knight at George's Club 20 in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1965. It sounds old obviously but so good. And it's a real happiness to hear Jimi at his beginnings playing these blues. Enjoy it! 1 Driving south 2 I'm a man 3 On the killing floor 4 California night 5 Ain't that peculiar 6 What'd i say 7 Bright lights, big city.

Jimi Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer-songwriter whose career spanned from 1962 to 1970. His videography includes commercially released films of musical performances and documentaries about his career. Hendrix appeared in two popular 1960s music festival films – Monterey Pop (1968) and Woodstock (1970). A short documentary, Experience (1968), also known as See My Music Talking, was also screened.
Jimi Hendrix at Monterey Pop Festival. Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images. It’s impossible to capture the frenzy of a live show on record, but it’s not for lack of trying. But it's not the Band's best live album. That would be Rock of Ages, recorded four years earlier in New York, capturing one of rock's greatest live acts at their peak. They're on fire from the opening cover of Marvin Gaye's "Don't Do It" (a showcase for Rick Danko's sly low-end groove-itude) through ridiculously tight deep cuts like "The . Walcott Medicine Show," "King Harvest (Has Surely Come)" and "The Unfaithful Servant," many of them featuring horn arrangements by Allen Toussaint.
