It was released on December 7, 1992, by Nothing, TVT, and Interscope Records. It serves as a companion release to Broken (1992), and includes remixes by Coil, Danny Hyde, JG Thirlwell, and Butch Vig, as well as then-live band members Chris Vrenna and James Woolley. Fixed charted in New Zealand and Canada in 1993 and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on March 1, 1995.
식: CD, Mini-Album, Digipak. Probably one of if not the favourite Nine Inch Nails releases of mine. I loved Broken for its extreme sound and dark and apocolypitc feel and Fixed to me delivers in a totally new light, not so much as remixing the songs as shredding them to pieces. This remix EP to me is one of their most creative and interesting pieces. I used to be an NIN addict but I've since outgrown them. Fixed, however, is something from NIN I can always go back to and enjoy. Especially when I'm in the mood for some violent music! 5/5.
The band was founded by lead singer, songwriter, producer, and t Trent Reznor, who was the band's only official member until adding English musician Atticus Ross in 2016.

Nine Inch Nails' record label at the time, Interscope Records, reportedly refused to fund the promotional tour following The Fragile's lukewarm sales. Reznor instead committed to fund the entire tour himself, which quickly sold out. He concluded that "the reality is, I'm broke at the end of the tour", but also added, "I will never present a show that isn't fantastic. The tour featured increasingly large production values, including a triptych video display created by contemporary video artist Bill Viola
