The Pasadenas were an R&B/pop group from the United Kingdom. They had two UK top 10 albums and eight UK top 40 hit singles, including "Tribute (Right On)" (1988), "Riding on a Train" (1988) and "I'm Doing Fine Now" (1991). In 1989 the Pasadenas were part of Band Aid II. The group followed with the album Elevate in 1991 and Yours Sincerely in 1992, but never again charted in the US, although they achieved another UK hit with a Billy Griffin production of their remake of New York City's "I'm Doin' Fine Now", which sold over 200,000 copies. It was slightly re-titled ("I'm Doing Fine. Now"), and became their biggest hit, reaching No. 4 in the UK. The Pasadenas continued to perform around the UK into the 21st century. The Pasadenas are a R&B, pop group from the United Kingdom, best known for their hit songs, Tribute (Right On) and I'm Doing Fine Now. The Pasadenas didn't belong in the '80s. The band was caught in a time warp; they bounced between '50s doo wop, '60s Motown, and early-'70s funk and R&B. However, they presented these influences when mainstream pop music had become too shallow and over-produced; instead of sounding dated, the group was actually a refreshing change of pace. The band released the superb album Phoenix in 1995 but only in Japan.
