Peter Brown (born July 11, 1953, in Blue Island, Illinois) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Brown was a popular performer in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits that included "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky with Me" and "Dance With Me". He wrote, with Robert Rans, Madonna's hit "Material Girl". Brown grew up in Palos Heights, a Chicago suburb

When Peter Brown excelled in the 1970s and 1980s, he really excelled; "Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me?," "Fantasy Love Affair," "Overnight Sensation," and "Dance With Me" are disco-funk classics. But unfortunately, the Chicagoan didn't excel as often as he should have. Brown's albums tend to be uneven and unfocused, and that's definitely the case with his second LP, Stargazer
Though Peter Brown is/was pinned as a "disco" artist, he really isn't, and this album more than shows that. This album is pure late 70s rock and f kn roll with a little bit of a pop of the time twist, and it's great! The only cuts I would really pin as "disco" (or rosco - rock/disco) would be "It's Alright" and "West Of The North Star"

Some months later, Ernstsen replaced the guitar player in the band, and the drummer was also replaced. Some pieces of the Stargazer puzzle were starting to fall into place; Ernstsen and Helgemo found each other in 2005! By now the band had the name . and with Helgemo’s material they put together an EP in the summer of 2006, called Window To The World.
