The Johnny Cash Show is the 35th overall album and live album by country singer Johnny Cash, recorded at the Grand Ole Opry and released on Columbia Records in 1970 as a tie-in with Cash's then-current TV series of the same title. Though one of Cash's lesser-known live records, it spawned the highly successful single "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", which helped kickstart the career of singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson. The song and album reached No. 1 on the Country charts.

On January 13, 1968, Johnny Cash performed live in front of an audience of guards and inmates at Folsom Prison. Four months later, Folsom Prison Blues hit the Billboard Top 100 chart. He co-founded a band following his discharge, and within a few years Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two had scored hits with songs like "Walk the Line. Cash's career was nearly derailed in the 1960s by a serious substance-abuse problem, but his marriage to June Carter and acclaimed album Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison (1968) put him back on track. In later years, Cash joined the country supergroup the Highwaymen and released a series of recordings with producer Rick Rubin.

Johnny Cash Wanted Man Lyrics was co-written by Bob Dylan and recorded live at San Quentin State Prison in 1969. For a long time I originally thought Johnny had written these Wanted Man Lyrics on his own but discovered that Bob Dylan actually wrote the song with Johnny. However, what really makes songs like "Wanted Man" so amazing, is the between song chat with Johnny and the prisoners
