Torridon Gate will transport you – from Jupiter’s Moons to the Mines Of Moria. Beautifully different, utterly chillingly and curiously affecting. Robin Tomens at Include Me Out. "This third album from London's finest manipulators of magnetic tape, Howlround, is a slow burning, deeply atmospheric corker. Produced entirely from recordings made from the gate referenced in the title, the duo of Robin (the Fog) and Chris (Weaver) have coaxed a dizzying array of unsettling and even sorrowful sounds from this most functional of objects and have layered them to astonishing effect. Ian Holloway at The Quiet World.

Loch Torridon (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Thoirbheartan) is a sea loch on the west coast of Scotland in the Northwest Highlands. The loch was created by glacial processes and is in total around 15 miles (25 km) long. It has two sections: Upper Loch Torridon to landward, east of Rubha na h-Airde Ghlaise, at which point it joins Loch Sheildaig; and the main western section of Loch Torridon proper.

A Year In The Country: An English idyll, a midnight sun...

"A Year In The Country is a year long journey of and searching for an expression of my underlying unsettledness to the English bucolic countryside dream… and wandering about and through the trails of things that have influenced, inspired and intrigued me along the way, which will quite possibly take in the further flung reaches of folk music, folklore and what has been labelled hauntological culture."
