Produced by Jens Lekman. Album An Argument With Myself. An Argument with Myself Lyrics. Having an argument with myself down Elizabeth Street Bumping into backpackers And struggling with the parameters And the basic construction of my feet. Kicking beer cans and rubbish along the concrete Crossing the street and crossing galaxies Of taxis and backseats and drunk suites And half-Greeks.

An Argument With Myself by Jens Lekman, released 20 September 2011 1. .However, as An Argument With Myself comes to a close the arrangements get looser, more reggae-tinged and relaxed, like a music box winding down. For a moment, the motion almost stops.

Lekman's new An Argument with Myself EP is a compact gem. It tilts this way and that to show different facets of the singer: his ruminative side, his topical side, his devotional side, his wicked humor, skewed insight, and flawless banality. At less than 18 minutes, there isn't a wasted moment.

An Argument with Myself is an extended play by Swedish indie pop musician Jens Lekman, released on 19 September 2011 on Secretly Canadian. On 19 March 2011, Lekman premiered "Waiting for Kirsten" at the Read and Shout Library Festival in London. The song makes reference to American actress Kirsten Dunst. The EP was released by Secretly Canadian on 19 September in the United Kingdom and 20 September in the United States.

Coming almost four years after the release of the excellent Night Falls Over Kortedala album, Jens Lekman's 2011 EP An Argument with Myself is made up of five songs that according to Lekman didn’t fit the mood of the songs he’d been working on for a full album. Those songs must reflect the more somber and soulful aspects of Lekman’s work because the songs on the EP represent the upbeat, almost chirpy side of his musical personality.

It’s understandable that lots of folks like to draw parallels between the music of Jens Lekman and, say, Morrissey or Belle & Sebastian. Why? Because there are a whole lot of similarities there, to be sure. But more than either of those two indie mainstays, the artist that Lekman most reminds this writer of is Steely Dan.
