Jazz fusion (also known as fusion) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock and roll started to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll.

I agree with Heypresto, but I use "It makes me feel dizzy" in semi-formal or formal texts. English (London/Essex). They are synonymous but 'I am dizzy' has an alternative meaning of 'I am absent-minded', . I left my keys at home again, I'm so dizzy'.

Criteria: These Fusion Albums were chosen to showcase the artists musical vision through their originality, influence, instrumental quality and creative inspiration. Definition: In the late 1960s, jazz musicians began mixing the forms and improvisational techniques of jazz with the electric instruments of rock and the rhythms of soul and rhythm and blues. At the same time, some rock artists began adding jazz elements to their music. Fusion has gone on to often include world music and other elements

There’s a lot more to the small CD package of Matt MacDougall’s May 19 album, Boy Goes To City (Maxwell Tree Music). Bio-appropriate, the new jazz-fusion music held within the simple package, definitely reflects the front cover artwork by Toby Piarrot and Lee Craft. MacDougall is a young guitarist entering the big city (Nashville) from his small-town roots (Nova Scotia), looking to fulfill a musical dream and quite possibly make his own unique mark in the greater world
