The Taliesin Orchestra (alternately known as Taliesin) is an American musical group (generally classified as new-age) that specializes in remaking famous songs into orchestra-style melodies. The band's first album, Orinoco Flow: The Music of Enya, was a collection of songs originally created and sung by Enya; it was released in 1996.

Led by keyboardist Trammell Starks in tandem with conductor, producer and arranger Charles Sayre, the Taliesin Orchestra rose to success with a series of symphonic albums reprising the work of some of New Age music's most popular artists. Their debut Orinoco Flow: The Music of Enya appeared in 1996, followed a year later by Forbidden Forest: The Music of George Winston. 1997 also saw the release of Anthem, a break from Taliesin Orchestra tradition with its focus on re-interpreting classic rock hits. The music of Enya, however, was again the subject for 1998's Maiden of Mysteries and.
The Taliesin Orchestra has brought new engery to George Winton's work. The arrangements are outstanding and made me fall in love with "Thanksgiving" all over again. I bought this album based on the outstanding quality of ORINCCO FLOW by The Taliesin Orchestra. I am not a fan of Winston's music, but took a chance with this album solely based upon Taliesin Orchestra. You cannot compare this music to their ORINCCO FLOW album. much as Richard Rogers was in his famous Victory at Sea albums. This is an album of full-bodied and robust music. On the other hand, if you are a Winston fan, you may feel some of this music afronts the artist. But it is good orchestral music meant to support a visual image.
