My own desert-island Sonic Youth album is EVOL ever since I heard it. Somehow I feel that it has the best melodies, the most soulfulness and the most sincerity of them all. Yet again, it's all very personal, but go figure - it may work for you. k views · View 9 Upvoters. murray street and sonic nurse: the former is jammy, the latter very nice. they’re cleaner and leaner records, this is where the calmer side of the youth really kicks in. rather ripped and the eternal: they’re almost pop rock. but they’re sonic youth, so they have that youth sound in there. rather ripped is imo their worst album, but is still good. the eternal is cool but it’s nothing super super special. sonic youth are one of my fave bands so i hope you can have as much fun ith them as i do. 527 views · View 3 Upvoters.
Sister is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth. It was released in June 1987 by SST Records. The album furthered the band's move away from the no wave genre towards more traditional song structures, while maintaining an aggressively experimental approach.
