The Night We Called It a Day" (Matt Dennis, Tom Adair) – 3:28. I Cover the Waterfront" (Johnny Green, Edward Heyman) – 2:58. Maybe You'll Be There" (Rube Bloom, Sammy Gallop) – 3:07.

Got it. + add. album. The Hafler Trio's wonderful extended reworking "weaves strong drones together before levelling them to start anew. At times it sounds eerily like the soundtrack to "the monolith" from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, but the intermittent digital crackles and processing bring the listener forcefully up to the present tense. If you are interested in abstract and experimental electronic music, the Hafler Trio deliver a solid remix".

The Hafler Trio is a conceptual and sound art collaborative between Andrew M. McKenzie, the only permanent member, and guest musicians

After the release of the album, Jónsi promptly started a tour across North America and Europe, featuring songs from the album plus a few other selections, planning to tour from March to September. In late January 2010, Jónsi announced that Sigur Rós was on "an indefinite hiatus", as the band had scrapped plans for a new album previously announced to be released in 2010, saying that "they were just rumours". In 2018, Jonsi contributed an original song titled "Who Are You Thinking Of?" to the soundtrack of the feature film Boy Erased.

Like several other Hafler Trio releases, this is a single-track CD with several individual pieces listed on the jacket. With the exception of "Metanoia," which is a reading (perhaps by Andrew McKenzie, who was the sole member of the Hafler Trio at the time this recording was released), all of the other pieces are built around layered drone loops. Sheet Level Approach" uses water sounds prominently, including ocean waves, rain in gutters, and a running stream, but characteristically includes many additional layers of electronics.
