Aneka may not possess the power of Donna Summer or Gloria Gaynor, but the sensitive ring and soulful restrain in her voice warrant her as more than a trendy member of the disco bandwagon.
Free is the second album by English rock group Free, recorded and released in 1969. The band had spent time touring after their debut album Tons of Sobs the previous year, and there is a marked difference in the musicianship of the band as well as Paul Rodgers's voice. Whereas Tons of Sobs had been produced by Guy Stevens, Free was produced by the head of Island Records, Chris Blackwell.

It secured her an album deal, and the second single Little Lady was released in October that year and secured her a Top 10 hit in Europe but it only reached in the UK charts. Ooh Shooby Doo Doo Lang was released in February 1982 and provided her with another Top 20 hit in Europe. I Was Free was belatedly released in October 1982, and her new recordings in 1983 all failed to charts, and Aneka quietly retired from the music scene and has never performed her hits again. She was last known to be working as a part-time tour guide in the Scottish town of Stirling
