Hoodoo Man Blues is the 1965 debut album of blues vocalist and harmonica player Junior Wells, performing with the Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band, an early collaboration with guitarist Buddy Guy. Released on LP by Delmark Records, the album has been subsequently reissued on CD and LP by Delmark and Analogue Productions
Junior Wells (born Amos Wells Blakemore J. December 9, 1934 – January 15, 1998) was an American Chicago blues vocalist, harmonica player, and recording artist. He was one of the pioneers of the amplified blues harp-style associated with Chicago . Wells performed and recorded with Various notable blues musicians, including Muddy Waters, Earl Hooker, and Buddy Guy. He remained a fixture on the blues scene throughout his career and also crossed over to rock audiences while touring with the Rolling Stones Life and career.

Famed guitar and blues harp duo Buddy Guy and Junior Wells had found a new audience as a result of touring with the Rolling Stones. With a rhythm section of the Stones' Bill Wyman, CSNY's Dallas Taylor, blues pianist Pinetop Perkins and guitarist Terry Taylor, the duo played their own concert (the CD) before taking to the stage as Muddy Waters' backing band (the DVD) to play a mix of originals and blues classics. The southern-style, Rhythm & Blues album Play The Blues by Buddy Guy & Junior Wells was recorded in the Miami Criteria Studios in the second half of 1970. Nevertheless, Guy was not able to leave Chicago out of this album with tracks such as "Bad Bad Whiskey" and "My Baby She Left Me". This is probably the best recordings Guy & Wells ever made, sounding clean and smooth. An excellent blues album from two masters in blues! 180 gram audiophile vinyl.
