Caron Wheeler Real Name: Caron Melina Wheeler. Profile: British Soul singer, born on January 19th 1963. An excellent vocalist in either dance or urban contemporary settings, Caron Wheeler first gained fame singing with Soul II Soul. She initially sang in such reggae bands as Brown Sugar and Afrodiziak before doing sessions with Phil Collins, Erasure, and Elvis Costello. Her leads on the songs "Keep on Movin'" and "Back to Life" were featured on Soul II Soul's smash LP Keep on Movin' in 1989

Beach of the War Goddess is the second studio album by British recording artist Caron Wheeler. The album was released on February 23, 1993, by EMI Records in collaboration with RCA Records. In collaboration with RCA Records, Beach of the War Goddess was released outside of Europe through EMI Records on February 23, 1993. The album spent five weeks on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums' chart and peaked at number 81.

It was released on 15 May 1990 by EMI Records. Recording sessions for the album took place from January 1990 to March 1990 at several studios, during the hiatus from her group Soul II Soul. As executive producer of the album, Wheeler took a wider role in its production, co-writing a majority of the songs, choosing which ones to produce and sharing ideas on the mixing and mastering of tracks.
