Alive II is the second live album (and eighth overall) by American hard rock band Kiss, released on October 14, 1977 by Casablanca Records. The band had released three albums (Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, and Love Gun) since the previous live outing, the 1975 release Alive!, and the band drew upon the variety of new tracks, with Eddie Kramer producing.

This particular album, Alive II, is their second live album, and it's a great live album. Never mind the five studio filler songs on here that aren't even that great, except Rocket Ride, in which Ace Frehley plays drums, bass, guitar, and sings. The 15 live songs(which may not even be completely live) are great. KISS live is always better than a KISS studio album, even though their studio albums are good. Ace's guitar-playing has always been, in my opinion, very underrated, and he shows off his decent skills in this song. Shock Me is a great Ace guitar-playing track too. Then, we get King Of The Night Time World, and it's an ok song, but nothing special.
About Alive II. The sequel to 1975’s Alive! captures KISS at their most energetic, performing with all the energy of the first live album, this time at the peak of their popularity. Shout It Out Loud (Live) was released as a single.
By mid-1977, Kiss had released another three studio recordings (Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, and Love Gun), and with a new Kiss album needed for the holiday season, a second live album, Alive II, was assembled. Three sides were recorded live in concert at the Los Angeles Forum (with a few tracks recorded in Japan), while the fourth side featured five new studio recordings
Alive! is the first live album, and fourth overall, by American hard rock band Kiss. It is considered to be their breakthrough and a landmark for live albums. Released on September 10, 1975, the double-disc set contains live versions of selected tracks from their first three studio albums, Kiss, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill. It was recorded at concerts in Detroit, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; Wildwood, New Jersey; and Davenport, Iowa on May 16, June 21, July 20 and July 23, 1975.
