Danzig 5: Blackacidevil is the fifth full-length album from Danzig. It was released in 1996 on Hollywood Records, and was reissued on E-Magine Records in 2000 with three extra tracks. The album is the first recorded by Danzig after its departure from producer Rick Rubin's record label, American Recordings. It is also the first album recorded after the demise of the "classic" lineup featuring John Christ, Eerie Von, and Chuck Biscuits.

Danzig 5: Blackacidevil . 2000. 5. /10. 1. 7th House. Hint Of Her Blood. Blackacidevil, darkness bound Do you want to play with me Your blood runs cold. Your veins will burn. Your brain shuts down, darkness crown Do you want to look inside my. Blackacidevil, all my own I've got to feel your heartbeat start to. Lose control. You have no soul You have no soul You have no soul You have no soul. Blackacidevil, venom rush Do you want to rush inside. Your heart stops dead. You have no pulse You burn like ice.

Danzig 5: Blackacidevil is a pathetic attempt to try to stay relevant after Glenn gave up on the best lineup he will likely ever have. Trading his crafty musicians to instead do everything but keyboards himself. Joey Castillo is listed as the drummer here, but it's apparently obvious to everyone that there's a drum machine being used. The title of the reissue was changed to Danzig 5: Blackacidevil and the cover art was dramatically modified (and improved). Unfortunately Danzig’s experimentation, while interesting at times, is somewhat unsuccessful. Most Danzig fans will probably consider this his worst album. A major problem is that Danzig electronically distorts the sound of his voice on several tracks. The tracks that are least experimental are the best.
